Giving Back to the Community

CPS employees care about their neighborhoods and take active roles in making them better places to live. For example, Greg Howard participates in the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Adopt-A-Bus Stop program. To see Greg’s volunteerism in action, click on the link at the end of the article.

On Saturday, September 29th, CPS employees in Sacramento participated in the Hands On Day of Corporate Service. The task was to create a garden area at the Roberts Family Development Center (RFDC). With help from members of Phi Beta Sigma and RFDC, a lot of brick, gravel, bark and mud moved around. Now the children of RFDC have a place to plant flowers and vegetables. Hollie Anderson led CPS project team members Remy Pauly, Jennifer Mastroianni, Pam Parker, Pat Williams, Susan Yee and Teresa Howard. To see before and after photos, click the following link.
